BATTLES OF CHICKAMAUGA AND CHATTANOOGA

Available any two consecutive days, Friday through Monday.

Package includes a two-night stay in a deluxe room, 2 gourmet breakfasts and a personalized private tour with Historian and Professor Richard Manion.

Mr. Manion, an adjunct instructor of history at several local community colleges, is a life-long student of the Civil War.  He holds a master’s degree in history from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio with a concentration in nineteenth century America.  His private tours offer the client several perspectives of the battle from the grand strategic view of the commanding generals to the battle experience of the soldiers.

Start the day at Captain’s Quarters with a gourmet breakfast with Mr. Manion, followed by a one-hour orientation session. Mr. Manion will then travel with you, in your automobile, throughout the battlefields and parks, giving you a detailed history of the battles. He will also be showing you letters, maps and photographs pertinent to the different areas.

Option 1     Includes 2 nights at Captain’s Quarters, 2 breakfasts, an hour orientation and a three hour tour of Chickamauga Battlefield. $399

Option 2     Includes 2 nights at Captain’s Quarters, 2 breakfasts, an hour orientation and a 7 hour tour of Chickamauga Battlefield and the Battles for Chattanooga (Point Park and Missionary Ridge).  $450
